Giant Mantises are a type of super sized insect. They exist in the Springtime Era. When Lara Myers and The Squirt arrived in this era aboard Quicksilver, they were soon attacked by one. Lara hypothesized that these creatures aren't common to this area and also aren't the product of natural evolution, as they aren't well adapted to the environment (which has few sources of meat for them), but are instead the product of genetic engineering.
